Our Mission:
Musikos is a student-led presenting organization formed to provide collaborative performances to Oberlin. Core to Musikos is engagement between Oberlin College, Conservatory, and its larger Community in the form of eclectic programming and engaging performance in new and diverse spaces.
About our Name
"Musikos" is the etymological origin of the modern word "Music" and is also the Greek Word that describes the 9 Muses of Ancient Greece. As advocates of collaborative and multi-disciplinary programming, we dedicate feature concerts in our seasons to the Nine Muses, taking inspiration from their respective specialties as a catalyst to more eclectic forms of perofrmance.
